Members of GSI share a common commitment to make Iowa a state which provides the highest quality of living for older people and a progressive environment for individuals working in the field of aging.
The purpose of the organization is to facilitate the efforts of its members and to enhance the lives of older people
GSI Accomplishes This By:
- Promoting the exchange of ideas and information and facilitating collegial relationships among its members through formal and informal forums.
- Promoting the growth of gerontological knowledge and research, and its utilization in areas of practice.
- Promoting education in aging.
- Advancing the knowledge of aging among the general public.
- Maintaining a vital and viable membership organization.
