Membership in the Gerontology Society of Iowa is encouraged for those interested in making Iowa a state which provides the highest quality of living for older people and a progressive environment for individuals working in the field of aging.

Educational Events / Meetings
GSI sponsors educational events which feature prominent speakers and reports on statewide research, program, and policy issues in aging. Continuing Education Units (CEU's) are available.

Opportunity for Involvement and Leadership
GSI provides opportunities for leadership and involvement to all its members through its standing committees, task forces, and other activities.

Opportunity for Personal and Professional Development
GSI promotes opportunities in the field of aging through a variety of educational functions.

Membership Categories Include:

• Individual - available to all interested persons
  
  
• Organizational - available to all interested organizations. Only one member should be designated to represent a given organization. Several members of an organization qualify for the GSI membership rate for GSI conferences.
  
  
• Student - any student enrolled in an academic program is eligible for GSI membership at reduced dues.
  
  
• Senior (65 and Over) - eligible for membership at reduced dues.
